The Mastenbroekerpolder is our region\u2019s biggest polder, famous for its landscape and greenhouses. As a natural peat meadow, it has been dealing with heavy land subsidence over the last decades. Dry summers are increasing the subsidence of the peat and therefore impose a threat to the entire area. The municipalities in the Mastenbroekerpolder are cooperating with the waterboard and the province to work on a solution that reduces the land subsidence and maintains the polder and it\u2019s landscape through a changing climate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
